BONDI, NSW REAL ESTATE BUYERS AGENTS

    Location and Transport Links

Bondi is located approximately 6.5 kilometres south-east of the CBD in Sydney’s eastern suburbs in the local government area of Waverley. Transport to the city is provided by regular busses via Bondi Junction. While the buses will reach the city, many people prefer to avoid Sydney’s traffic and change to the efficient train network at Bondi Junction to speed up the journey.

    Property types

Houses mainly consist of Victorian terraces, Federation homes, weatherboard cottages and Californian bungalows. Apartment blocks vary in age from low rise art deco buildings to medium rise post-World War II and modern high rise complexes.

    Shops and Restaurants

There is a good selection of restaurants, cafés, delis and bakeries along Bondi Road. Boutique clothing and surf shops are clustered around Bondi Road near the corner of Ocean Street and along Campbell Parade in Bondi Beach.

For even more shops including department stores such as Myer and David Jones as well as discount and variety stores, visit Westfield shopping centre at Bondi Junction. The shopping centre is within walking distance for much of Bondi or alternatively can be reached via a short bus ride.

    Schools and Educational Facilities

Bondi contains three schools; Bondi Public School (primary), Montessori East School (pre and primary) and Yeshiva College for boys (secondary).

Nearby Primary schools include Galilee Catholic School, Bondi Beach Public School, Bellevue Hill Public School, Bronte Public School, Clovelly Public School, St Charles Primary School and Waverley Public School.
Combined primary/secondary schools in the area include Cranbrook School, Scots College, Waverley College, St Catherine’s School, Moriah War Memorial College and Wairoa School.

    Recreation and other Amenities

The Bondi to Bronte walk is popular among locals and tourists alike. The world famous Bondi Beach is walking distance from Bondi and the less touristy Tamarama and Bronte Beaches are also nearby. If you enjoy the ocean but the waves put you off, visit Bondi or Bronte baths.
Waverley Park has a sports oval, tennis courts and a basketball court. Head to Bondi junction for squash courts and gyms. If you need the extra motivation to get fit, there are plenty of personal trainers and boot camps in the Bondi area.

    Why people live in Bondi?

Walking distance to the world famous Bondi Beach, the plethora of health food and organic stores and good access to the city.
