It is bittersweet that we write this review as this means that our current engagement with propertybuyer has now ended. We inquired propertybuyer's services back in Dec 2020 and spoke to Rich Harvey to understand their service offering. Rich's professionalism and experience was evident with our initial phone call conversation. He was able to answer all our questions with ease, and suggested a few ideas on what property to look out for. After this conversation, we did not hesitate to engage propertybuyer in mid Feb 2021 which was the same time we received our pre-approval. Subsequently, we were allocated to the "cool, calm and collected" Nick Taylor-Fick. Nick specialised in our preferred areas in the Upper North Shore and was our knight in shining armor, especially in a fast rising market. He was able to traverse and navigate the complexities of low supply and our limited budget, by leveraging on his vast networks and relationships with local agents. As the early 2021 property market kept accelerating at a faster rate, we found ourselves realising that we may never purchase in the areas we want to live in. However, Nick was there every step of the way to remind us of what is the most important item in our property brief - that is, location. He constantly updated us with soon to be listed properties, off-market opportunities and was even able to understand every last detail of an upcoming auction. After losing out in an auction during the early stages of our engagement, a property in our preferred area went to the market for auction. At this point and after months of searching, we felt quite burnt out and defeated but Nick was always there to pick us back up on our feet and continue on. He was straight into contacting the listing agent, personally inspecting the property and even understanding details for the upcoming auction - he really was there for us to ensure we secure the place. We armed ourselves with the possibility that there will be fierce competition during the auction and may lose out again. Yet, Nick was cool, calm and collected in his bidding and we could tell that a professional was at work. We can still vividly remember when the hammer fell, when we were jumping for joy and the subsequent hugs thereafter. The whole process has been a roller coaster ride but knowing that we had Nick on our side made it all worthwhile. Thank you again Nick and the team at propertybuyer. It is bittersweet that we finished writing this review, but we know this is not the end of our relationship.

My clients, a young professional couple, were looking to upsize from an apartment to a 3 bedroom villa/townhouse in the Marsfield/Ryde/Denistone areas.

Our property search journey started in recent months when the property market took off and we experienced first- hand the frustrations of seeing rapid price increases encroach into their budget limit.

The 3 bedroom villa/townhouse market segment has broad appeal from down-sizers, up-sizers, professionals, young families and investors.

My clients were interested in a property at Marsfield and thought it met their brief in respect to having good property attributes and locational appeal. However, having missed out on another 3 bedroom villa in the same street only two months earlier, got to be honest, we weren’t that certain of being successful on the night!
I was one of four registered bidders, so fewer than expected and I noted that the bidding levels & intensity was not as ‘hot’ as before. So, it was great to be able to purchase this property for my clients and at a price point lower than expected.
