Lee’s Story

Sydney CBD Investor

"..I could not fault the process... "

Location: Sydney CBD

Buyer type: Investor

Buyer's Brief: Investment apartment in a smaller unit block with history of solid strata management.

Goal:

I wanted a property that fitted our evolving lifestyle, rental in s-m-t, maybe a Sydney pad as we retire. If I had been in Sydney, I would have felt excited and challenged about looking for a property without help. From Singapore, logistics turned an exciting challenge to daunting and difficult. Prior to engaging propertybuyer I was concerned they would not understand my brief and also they may not really add any value to our search.

Solution:

Propertybuyer solved my concerns by:
1. The proformer asking us to identify what our criteria was
2. The initial conversations before they led us back to our requirements.
3. The agent – Nickwas perfect for us (me)!

Nick made everything so clear. Precise, logical yet with heart. He was at the auction and saw it through. The end result was a property bought at the price that was fair and not inflated (bank values priced it exactly at what we paid).

As an expat, I could not fault the process and our Buyers’ agent made all the difference for us. He was prompt in emails, listed to feedback, gave us consistent feedback.

The proof was in the end result. An apartment in an area that we love, at a good price and bang on our full goal.

Buyers' Agents Comments:

Working with Lee was a pleasure. From day one when we went through the preliminary report, I had a pretty good idea of what she wanted. The only problem was nothing quite came up in her selected areas of Drummoyne etc. so I spread the search area to include Balmain, not expecting to find an apartment that would meet her budget, but this one did. The moment I viewed the apartment, I knew she would love it and it came with long term sitting tenant paying reasonable rent and who looked after the apartment like it was his own. When Lee flew to Sydney and was able on the day to view the apartment, I could see straight away that she loved it. It has a northerly aspect, harbour views and is in a well maintained smaller apartment block. Securing the apartment at a competitive auction completed a fantastic working relationship with Lee and I look forward to working with her again in the future.
