WEST PYMBLE, NSW REAL ESTATE BUYERS AGENTS

    Location and Transport Links

West Pymble is located approximately 14 kilometres north-west of the CBD in Sydney’s Upper North Shore in the
Ku-ring-gai local government area. The suburb is positioned between the two North Shore train lines and is well serviced by Shorelink, with buses traveling to Chatswood, North Sydney and the City. West Pymble also enjoys easy access to the M2 freeway leading to the city and the western suburbs as well as the Pacific Motorway to the Central Coast.

    Property types

Freestanding homes on large blocks make up the majority of the housing stock in West Pymble. Properties near the golf club (in particular Warrowa Ave and Avondale Place) are more expensive while streets connecting with Ryde Road are less desirable due to the additional noise and traffic. Housing styles vary from original weatherboard cottages (many renovated and/or extended) to modern larger one and two storey brick homes. Apartments make up only 1% of dwellings in the area.

    Shops and Restaurants

There is a reasonable selection of shops along Philip Mall in central West Pymble including an IGA supermarket, butcher, pharmacy, a couple of cafes and the local favourite Organic Pizzeria. A wider variety of shops can be found in neighbouring suburbs Pymble, Gordon, Turramurra and Macquarie Park including the Macquarie Shopping Centre.

    Schools and Educational Facilities

West Pymble offers easy access to a number of high quality public and private schools on the Upper North Shore as well as the renowned Macquarie University. The suburb itself offers three primary schools including West Pymble Public School, Gordon West Public School and Our Lady of Perpetual Succour School. Other schools within easy reach of West Pymble include Pymble Ladies’ College, Ravenswood School for Girls, Sacred Heart Catholic School, Northside Montessori School, Turramurra High School, Turramurra Public School, Turramurra North Public School and Warrawee Public School.

    Recreation and other Amenities

West Pymble is surrounded on three sides by the Lane Cove National Park which provides abundant opportunities to enjoy nature while relaxing at a riverside picnic spot, cycling or jogging. The suburb also offers several other parks and reserves including Ku-Ring-Gai Bicentennial Park which is home to the KWP Rugby Club and boasts two ovals, an outdoor pool and a loop walking track. Golfing fans are well catered for in West Pymble, with Avondale, Pymble, Gordon and North Ryde Golf Clubs all within short driving distance. If movies are more your style, Event Cinemas is located at nearby Macquarie Park.

Why people live in West Pymble

Leafy tree-lined streetscape, large blocks with freestanding homes, excellent schools nearby and ‘more for your money’ than Pymble.
