West Pymble is located approximately 14 kilometres north-west of the CBD in Sydney’s Upper North Shore in the
Ku-ring-gai local government area. The suburb is positioned between the two North Shore train lines and is well serviced by Shorelink, with buses traveling to Chatswood, North Sydney and the City. West Pymble also enjoys easy access to the M2 freeway leading to the city and the western suburbs as well as the Pacific Motorway to the Central Coast.

Freestanding homes on large blocks make up the majority of the housing stock in West Pymble. Properties near the golf club (in particular Warrowa Ave and Avondale Place) are more expensive while streets connecting with Ryde Road are less desirable due to the additional noise and traffic.
