Liz and Mark are living in Armidale and wanted to buy a second investment property for their self-managed super fund. Earlier in the year, I purchased one for them in Manly and then suggested they buy one on the lower north shore. After a few weeks we secured a lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in Neutral Bay, only 200m from Hayes Street Wharf. It was in a small block of 4, in excellent condition and full of character. There was an offer accepted just over $1.1m, but the purchaser had second thoughts and although Liz was happy to match this offer, I moved quickly to secure the property for $1.075m, based on the high motivation of the vendor to get it done that day.
