James’s distinguished career includes nearly three decades at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), where he held senior national and regional roles, including Executive Director and Head of JLL’s Residential Management division. He has successfully led large-scale teams and portfolios, overseeing over 150 staff and managing complex, mixed-use developments across key Australian markets. His leadership in projects such as the 2,254-apartment Smith Collective (Australia’s largest Build-to-Rent community) reflects his ability to align strategy, technology, and operational excellence to enhance asset performance.

Known for his analytical rigour, James is adept at conducting detailed property assessments, income and expenditure analysis, lease strategies, and capital works planning. He has played a pivotal role in asset repositioning, lease renewal strategies, and major capex programs—all with a sharp focus on boosting investment returns.

James is deeply connected across investor networks, real estate agencies, developers, consultants, and contractors—allowing him to uncover premium opportunities, both on and off-market.
