I wanted a professional opinion on what would be a reasonable price for an apartment and advice on a strategy to purchase an apartment in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs that I really liked.

My adviser recommended that I approach Propertybuyer. I signed an agreement with them, and was referred by them to Munro Donen, the Principal of Propertybuyer East, which specialises in the Eastern Suburbs.

The next day I had a discussion with Munro about the property in question and my requirements and financial limits. He quickly did his research on the property, its neighbourhood and the requirements of the vendor.

The property was due to go to auction a few weeks later. However, the agent received an unsolicited offer from another party and immediately let Munro know.

Munro had already done his due diligence and appraised the property. He understands the property process and what needed to be done to ensure that I stood the greatest chance of securing the property. Based on the information Munro provided, I was able to make an informed decision and authorised him to make a higher offer, within my budget.

Negotiations started on the Friday afternoon and Munro fought hard for me. After a number of hours, he secured the property for me and ensured it was exchanged on the day.

I was amazed at how quickly the whole process took place. This is mainly due to Munro’s expertise, diligence, and determination.
