Niki & Scott's Story

Southern Sydney Homebuyer

"..Over the moon with the purchase.... "

Location: Southern Sydney

Price: $1,400,000

Buyer type: Homebuyer

buyers advocate comments:

Niki and Scott had been looking over the past 2 years for a property in the Sutherland Shire. They had relocated for work to Canberra, so I was engaged to represent them at an auction for a property they wanted in Miranda. It went $200,000 over their budget.
I spoke to them on the way home from the auction and they decided to go with the full search.

They are both professionals working long hours and raising their young child in Canberra but wanted to relocate to Sydney later this year for a twelve-month period then rent the property out until they can return permanently.
They have two large dogs, so they wanted a good-sized back yard.
They wanted a convenient suburb that was attractive to renters, with an easy drive to the beaches.

Their busy lifestyles meant they couldn’t get to Sydney to inspect any of the homes, so they put their complete trust in me.
It was difficult to find the right home for them within their budget, and they put offers in on two other properties that also went way over their budget.

At first the agents at Caringbah guided the auction at $1,500,000. The agent rang a few times and had several discussions with me. I pointed out that the property was not worth their guided amount, and eventually I was able to bring the price to a fixed $1,400,000, a week before the auction was set.

The first time the Campbell’s saw the property was after they had paid the deposit and signed off on the Contract of Sale.

I met them on site, and they were over the moon with the purchase.
