Goal:

I wanted to add to our property portfolio and to buy a property that could give us growth in the long term. While we have bought and sold before we knew what to expect. What we now know is using propertybuyer reduces the risks. I was worried about buying in areas that could collapse and over paying in areas that do not have growth.

Solution:

Be prepared to do some work, you need to engage with propertybuyer as well as they can’t read your mind. Nick educated us where to buy and why and expanded our expectations on what to buy e.g. old house on big blocks zoned for high density. After I felt more comfortable and more knowledgeable.

Rob & Lisa are property investors who wished to expand their property portfolio. They approached propertybuyer to gain further insight into the property market and to be guided towards a good investment property purchase. It was a pleasure working with them as they were receptive to different property purchase strategies. I found them a large single storey 2 bedroom villa in a boutique complex in Belfield that is very well managed. This style of investment property appeals to a range of tenants including retirees and/or down sizers, young families or couples. The agent managed to achieve a good rental of $550 per week which shows a strong initial yield. The property is just outside the Inner West ring with good proximity to railway station and shopping precincts and promises long term growth.
