Goal:

We wanted to secure the purchase of a particular house that we had already found on the internet that was scheduled to be sold at auction. Having never bid at an auction prior, it was a daunting prospect. I was concerned about bidding at an auction and paying too much for the property.

Solution:

The property appraisal gave us a really good indication of fair market value of the property from an independent, unemotional viewpoint. We are very pleased having got Matt involved in the property purchase. Removing the real estate agent from the agenda also gave us peace of mind that he wasn’t playing negotiation games with us. Definitely recommend using propertybuyer to secure a purchase. We feel we got the property for a good price and ultimately secured the property against stiff competition.

Ivan had located a house that was listed to go to auction on the following Saturday. However, the agent indicated that it may sell beforehand and Ivan had a fear of missing gout. Hence, Ivan engaged propertybuyer to ‘Appraise and Negotiate’ on his behalf. We managed to inspect the property within the first 24 hours, gave our opinion of value and commenced negotiations. As is often the case, timing is critical and consequently we put Ivan in the best possible position to purchase the property at a level lower than what Ivan told us he would have paid.
