Goal:

I wanted to purchase 2 investment properties with high rental yield and capital gains. I wouldn’t have minded doing it myself, but I am not a professional so I would rather use someone who is.

Omar is wanting to build a portfolio of properties to set himself up for retirement, he is only 21 years old but was savvy enough to use a buyers agent as he needed help.  He wanted a mixture of high yield and properties that had some potential to develop and/or build a granny flat.  We sourced a 2 storey home on a  700m2 corner block for $370K that will rent for around $450 per week plus a flat can be built at the back.

His second purchase was a ‘renovators delight’ we picked up for $280K and we are helping him arrange a renovation – once done it will achieve around $350 per week in rent.  This property has a mixed use commercial zoning which gives him the option to develop a child care facility that can also have residential flats above it so excellent opportunity to manufacture equity and increase his returns.
