I met this young couple - with a growing family - when they first approached Propertybuyer to help them bid at an auction in Heidelberg Heights, a few months ago. We became the underbidders by choice when the property - which eventually sold above $1.5M - went to another buyer. We decided to withdraw our bids because we were unhappy with the process used by the selling agent. Subsequently, the couple signed up with me on a full-service basis, and we began the process of considering both their property needs and lifestyle, and investment needs. We decided to consider lower market value alternatives with greater upside potential to allow more resources to be allocated to other investments, but we were looking for opportunities to improve rather than to buy something turnkey with no uplift in value. After inspecting more than 30 properties, we landed on this timber and tile 4-bedroom 2-bathroom deceased residence held by 4 siblings whose father was a builder, and which really had a fantastic “vibe” throughout. With a driveway over 3.5m, the opportunity to subdivide to the rear in the future was also possible, and the home is large enough for this growing family to enjoy in the meantime. Also, having sold their current home recently, we arranged so that the settlement of their new home was aligned on the same day as their current residence. One of my favourite Just Bought stories.
