Newcastle is a dynamic city brimming with things to do, places to stay, and fun to be had. It is located just over two hours north of Sydney on the stunning, sun-drenched eastern coastline of New South Wales.

Transportation 

Newcastle boasts a sophisticated transportation system that includes buses and cutting-edge light rail. You can also hire a bike in Newcastle or bring your own bike. 

From Sydney Central Station, you can travel to Newcastle on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line (CCN). It terminates at the Newcastle Interchange, from whence it is simple to transfer to other routes.

Grain Store Newcastle 

The Grain Store is a specialty eatery dedicated to promoting the finest independent brews Australia has to offer. They have adapted the typical American diner menu for their own quirky spin; some claim they make the best wings outside of the United States. It is the ideal location for this restaurant that focuses on beer because it is situated inside an ancient grain warehouse in Newcastle's historic east end. 

Merewether Surfhouse 

At the Merewether Surfhouse, you can eat and drink right on the edge of Newcastle's renowned Merewether Beach. A restaurant, cocktail bar with a spacious outdoor terrace, a pizza kiosk, and a cafe are all located on the three levels of the venue, all of which have million-dollar views of the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy contemporary Australian cuisine, including soft tacos, burgers, wood-fired pizzas, fresh Sydney rock oysters, lobster spring rolls, wagyu beef rump, and pork belly with scallops. 

Pork Ewe Deli 

As you enter Pork Ewe Deli, you are taken to the markets of Paris or Rome. A neighborhood store filled with cheese, charcuterie, and intriguing specialty European groceries where you are welcome to take your time.
