Eastern Suburbs residents love visiting the white beaches along the coastline. A Sunday favourite is to take a leisurely stroll from Bondi to Bronte. The walk starts at Bondi Iceberg's ocean pool and along the way you can enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean, cliffs and sand. Off-leash dog parks along the way such as Burrow Park are popular with pet owners. Other notable parks include the Botanic Gardens and Centennial Parklands, the latter of which offers many recreational activities including walking, running, cycling, skating, picnics and barbeques, playing in the playgrounds horse riding. The Parklands also house major sports grounds and entertainment centers' such as Allianz Stadium, Sydney Cricket Ground and Moore Park Showground. Major public swimming pools include the world class Gunyama Park Aquatic Centre in Zetland, Prince Alfred Park Public Pool in Surry Hills, Andrew ‘Boy’ Charlton Pool, which has a stunning waterfront location looking over the Woolloomooloo Bay and Cook and Phillip Park Aquatic and Fitness Centre on the edge of the CBD near Hyde Park, which houses multiple pools as well as a fitness centre and a sports court.
